PUBLIC SERV-CE SS27: When Digital Noise Meets Individual Identity
Presented at ARTE MUSEUM New York during New York Fashion Week, PUBLIC SERV-CE’s Spring/Summer 2027 collection explores identity in an era of digital saturation.
The Rest Is Noise
For Spring/Summer 2027, PUBLIC SERV-CE examines the tension between constant digital exposure and individual identity.
Titled “THE REST IS NOISE,” the collection was presented at ARTE MUSEUM New York through a visual language of reconstructed uniforms, engineered proportions, distressed surfaces, and tailored sportswear. Familiar codes are reworked into garments that question how identity is constructed, protected, and expressed in an increasingly connected world.
The collection balances structure with disruption, bringing together functional references and exaggerated silhouettes to create a wardrobe shaped by tension.
Fashion, Eyewear, and Sound
The SS27 presentation expanded beyond clothing through a collaboration with Zaha Hadid Design, which created eyewear for the collection.
Music also played a central role. JNR Choi served as Music Director and Executive Producer for the show, contributing an original six-track EP that added another layer to the presentation’s atmosphere and narrative.
Together, the fashion, eyewear, and sound created a multidisciplinary experience in which clothing became part of a broader exploration of contemporary culture.
A Return to Footwear
Spring/Summer 2027 also marked founder and Creative Director Raphael Young’s return to footwear.
The collection introduced handcrafted Spartan sandals made in Romans-sur-Isère, France. The designs extend PUBLIC SERV-CE’s interest in functional forms and refined construction, bringing a tactile element to the season’s more engineered silhouettes.
A New York Fashion Week Moment
The show featured appearances by Fivio Foreign, Ron Abaekobe, and Bryant James, with guests including Key Glock, Skrilla, Ray-Ray McCloud, Terrance Mann, Shareef, Mearah and Myles O’Neal, Serayah McNeill, Lil Mama, Siobhan Bell, Huda Mustafa, Jetti, Seddy Hendrix, DC the Don, Chet Holmgren, Armani White, Blaq Tuxedo, and more.
Through “THE REST IS NOISE,” PUBLIC SERV-CE presented fashion as a response to the overwhelming pace of modern life—using reconstructed codes, expressive proportions, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to explore what remains individual when everything else becomes noise.
