sacai TO GO Brings Japanese Culture and Parisian Creativity to Le Bon Marché
PARIS — sacai is bringing its distinctive blend of Japanese culture and Parisian creativity to Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche with “sacai TO GO,” a limited-time experience running from August 29 through October 11 as part of the department store’s SUPER JAPON programming.
Located on the third floor of Le Bon Marché, the immersive pop-up is curated by Sarah Andelman, co-founder and former Creative Director of the legendary Paris concept store colette. Andelman has brought together a community of long-time sacai friends and collaborators to create a space that explores Japanese culture through fashion, food, design, art and hospitality.
A Meeting Point Between Tokyo and Paris
Throughout the experience, visitors can discover Toraya, the traditional Japanese confectionery house, alongside Rocky’s Matcha, founded by Rocky Xu. The weekends will introduce a rotating selection of food and beverage offerings from Paris-based collaborators, giving the space a constantly evolving character.
The lineup includes natural wine and ice cream destination F.O.L.D.E.R.O.L, bento brand Iné, Japanese kissaten-inspired sandwich and coffee shop Benchy, seasonal Japanese cuisine concept NIWA, and coffee shop Dreamin’ Man. Together, the collaborators create what sacai describes as a hybrid environment where Japanese culture meets the creative spirit of Paris.
Exclusive sacai Merchandise
The pop-up will also offer exclusive merchandise, including black and white T-shirts featuring sacai branding, MA-1-inspired details, Rocky’s Matcha’s tiger graphic and the sacai x Carhartt WIP collaboration.
Additional pieces include tote bags from sacai’s Zantan series, made using repurposed archive fabrics, as well as hand-sewn Zantan plush key charms created with artist Madoka Morikawa’s Peloqoon.
For collectors and fashion enthusiasts, sacai will collaborate with paper doll brand RYVDOLL on a boxed set featuring miniature recreations of archival looks. The magnetic paper dolls can be mixed and matched, offering a playful new way to engage with sacai’s design history.
