Presented during New York Bridal Fashion Week, Renhue’s latest collection explores mermaid-inspired silhouettes, fluid draping, and an untamed vision of modern bridal romance.
For Fall/Winter 2027, Atlanta-based bridal label Renhue dives into a world of elemental beauty with Undine in Love, a collection inspired by mythical water nymphs and the timeless search for connection.
An undine inhabits pools and waterfalls, moving with the rhythm of the tide. This mythology becomes the foundation for a collection that embraces transformation, fluidity, and the magnetic allure of the sea.
A Siren’s Silhouette
The collection explores the mermaid silhouette through opalescent inspiration and fabrics that echo the curves of a breaking wave. Structured interiors meet liquid draping, creating gowns that balance sculptural precision with softness and movement.
Evoking the image of Venus emerging from the waves, Undine in Love captures a wind-swept romance that feels both mythical and contemporary. The result is bridal fashion shaped by the tension between structure and fluidity.
Romance in Its Rawest Form
Beneath the collection’s romantic sensibility lies a more organic, unconventional finish. Exposed structural details, unexpected fabric combinations, and unfinished edges introduce a raw quality that challenges traditional bridal polish.
This contrast gives the gowns a distinctive character, balancing ethereal femininity with modern construction and a less restrained approach to couture.
Yet the collection’s central figure is no fragile fairy-tale heroine. Renhue’s undine is already whole, independent, and complete. Love becomes a conscious choice rather than something required for fulfillment.
A Modern Bridal Mythology
Founded and designed by Maggie Wilson and Tara Strobach, Renhue continues to develop its vision of “future vintage” bridalwear, creating pieces for the modern bride through a perspective that combines romance with individuality.
With Undine in Love, the label reimagines the mythology of the sea for a bride who embraces her own identity. Fluid silhouettes, expressive textures, and unconventional finishes come together in a collection that celebrates both the magic of connection and the beauty of being entirely oneself.
