PUMA x JiyongKim CELL Geo Finds Beauty in the Passage of Time

Where performance design meets the poetry of imperfection, the collaboration turns aging, texture and transformation into a new expression of contemporary sneaker culture.

Fashion has always found ways to make the new feel personal. With the PUMA x JiyongKim CELL Geo, that idea takes shape through a design language that embraces what time leaves behind. The collaboration brings together PUMA’s technical heritage and the experimental vision of Korean designer JiyongKim, reimagining a futuristic sneaker through the character of age and natural wear.

Known for menswear informed by sun-faded color, stains and weather-shaped surfaces, JiyongKim approaches materials as something to be transformed rather than perfected. That sensibility gives the CELL Geo a different kind of presence: one that feels lived-in, expressive and intentionally imperfect.

Aged fabrics, distressed details, frayed laces and distinctive surface treatments lend the silhouette the appearance of having passed through time. Against these organic textures, the shoe’s sculptural construction creates a compelling tension between the technical and the weathered.

The CELL Geo’s signature decoupled CELL heel unit remains central to the design, bringing geometric structure and cushioning technology into the collaboration. Fluid cut lines and semi-shrouded laces preserve its streamlined, futuristic character, while JiyongKim’s material treatments make each detail feel considered and individual.

The result is more than a reinterpretation of a sneaker. It is a conversation about how fashion can find meaning in process, material and imperfection. In a culture often drawn to the pristine and the untouched, PUMA and JiyongKim turn their attention to the beauty of transformation—and to the character that emerges along the way.

The PUMA x JiyongKim CELL Geo launches November 7, 2026, through PUMA.com, PUMA flagship stores, selected retailers, and JiyongKim’s online store and flagship in Seoul. The Black colorway will be available exclusively through JiyongKim in limited quantities. In Japan, the collaboration arrives exclusively at GR8 on November 14, accompanied by a dedicated pop-up.

For Fashion Week Forever, this collaboration speaks to fashion’s ongoing dialogue between innovation and individuality. By allowing time itself to become part of the design, PUMA and JiyongKim offer a reminder that style does not always come from perfection—sometimes, it comes from the traces we leave behind.
