For JASPER, that idea takes shape through the rich visual language of Persian rugs. In its Spring/Summer 2027 collection, the label explores heirlooms, memory, and identity through a wardrobe that feels both deeply rooted and unmistakably contemporary.

At the center of the collection is a personal connection. Stylist and creative director Kooshan Dunn grew up surrounded by family rugs, treasured objects woven into the traditions of generations. Their patterns, textures, and cultural significance become the foundation of JASPER’s latest story.

The result is a collection that does not simply reference heritage. It transforms it.

The Art of Unraveling

Central to JASPER SS27 are custom prints created by artist Sofia Belkin, commissioned specifically for the collection.

Belkin’s abstracted medallion patterns translate the visual language of Persian rugs into something distorted, fluid, and alive. Worked into sheer fabrics and bleeding into raw fringe, the prints form the collection’s visual core.

The influence of artist Faig Ahmed, known for transforming traditional carpet patterns into surreal, liquid forms, is equally present in the construction.

Signature pieces appear in unraveling ribbon-strips and cascading fringe, as if the weave of a rug has come undone and re-draped itself around the body.

One standout dress captures the concept in its purest form: sheer and raw-seamed, with Belkin’s medallion print bleeding into gold before dissolving into uneven, tangled fringe.

Fringe recurs throughout the collection—not simply as embellishment, but as a structural echo of rug fringe and tassel work. It appears in tiered gold skirts, cascading dress hems, and frayed, cobweb-like lace.

A Palette Drawn from Place

The collection’s color story moves between deep jewel tones and warm metallics.

Cobalt and teal bring depth, while bronze, gold, and brass introduce a luminous richness. The palette draws from the rugs themselves, as well as Iranian architectural elements—tilework, arches, and geometric motifs that give the collection a sense of place beyond the textile.

These colors create a wardrobe that feels opulent without becoming nostalgic. The past is present, but it has been reshaped for the woman of today.

Raw Meets Refined

JASPER SS27 moves between unfinished textures and sculptural precision.

Asymmetric hems, one-shoulder draping, and raw edges create a sense of movement and imperfection. Alongside them, more architectural silhouettes bring structure and definition.

Informed by his Persian heritage and a lifelong fascination with how clothing can express identity and story, he built JASPER as a bridge: between the editorial and the everyday, between intention and instinct.
