Flair Fashion: Eight Emerging Voices Ignite London Fashion Week SS27
Flair Fashion returns to London Fashion Week with eight emerging designers bringing technology, sustainability, subculture, craftsmanship, and creative independence to the runway.
On September 19, 2026, Flair Fashion: IGNITE Collective SS27 brought together eight distinct creative voices for a runway focused on the next generation of fashion. The showcase positioned emerging designers at the center of an evolving fashion landscape, presenting work that moved across wearable technology, post-streetwear, couture, costume, nostalgia, and conscious design.
Rather than following a single aesthetic, the IGNITE runway emphasized the diversity of contemporary fashion. Each designer approached clothing through a different lens, creating a collective presentation shaped by experimentation, personal storytelling, craftsmanship, and new approaches to making.
Eight Voices, Eight Perspectives
Quarez approaches fashion as a form of expression, transforming childhood memories, color, prints, and familiar silhouettes into surreal forms. For the new collection, exaggerated proportions and protective silhouettes create a wearable sanctuary for vulnerability, exploring clothing as both concealment and liberation. The designer also works extensively with pre-existing materials, using reuse as a catalyst for creativity.
Founded in 2014 by Afa Tsang, Berth brings a modern-vintage sensibility to womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, and accessories. Its Gathering Of Dreamers collection draws from the free-spirited energy of the 1970s, incorporating layered silhouettes, rich textures, cascading fringe, embroidery, and dream-catcher and floral motifs.
The collaboration between Velespace and The Kong Is Dead brought technology and post-streetwear together. Velespace introduced its Tech Charm through SPHERE 01, while The Kong Is Dead presented Wounds In Blue, exploring cut surfaces, exposed layers, denim, paint, and digital imagery.
For Trashy Planets, fashion becomes spectacle. Founded by self-taught designer and showgirl Bambi Blue, the London-based fashion and costume house combines handcrafted construction, theatricality, sculptural silhouettes, and embellishment. Ashes To Ashes explores regality, mythology, and rebirth through dramatic forms and feathered details.
Une Enfant, founded in London in 2025, draws on memory and imagination, looking to the visual culture and architecture of the early 2000s. Its latest collection translates that period's futuristic optimism into clean silhouettes and subtle contemporary details.
From Kosovo, Gashani brings couture craftsmanship and a relationship with the natural world to the runway. The Golden Hour traces a journey from earth to sky through sculpted corsetry, beadwork, handmade roots, butterfly-inspired silhouettes, golden petals, and fluid oceanic forms.
El Khemie, an emerging fashion laboratory from Singapore, examines corporate culture through an experimental lens. Department of Nocturnal Affairs follows a worker from midnight toward dawn, using coffee and tea rituals as inspiration for hand-extracted color on silk organza, shifting from corporate navy toward botanical and earthy tones.
Finally, Hong Kong-based PSY LAU explores imperfection, sustainability, and the emotional process of letting go. Its SS27 collection, The Art of Letting Go, draws on the Japanese philosophy of Danshari and considers how clothing can reflect changing relationships, accumulation, separation, and personal growth.
A Collective Vision
Together, the eight designers demonstrate how emerging fashion can exist across multiple disciplines and cultural references without being confined to a single visual language. The runway moves from technology and post-streetwear to couture, costume, nostalgia, and conscious design.
