Tanya Sway’s second act starts with Fashion Weeks

After a packed New York Fashion Week, Tanya Sway crossed to Europe, appearing at events for brands including Xerjoff, Ex Nihilo, Casamorati, and Memo Paris as both a model and a content creator. She then flew to Dubai for Beautyworld, the major trade show that draws fragrance and beauty brands from around the world.

The point is not one city. She wants the image to travel: a face in the global fashion scene, and a creator who can publish the week herself.

Her first career chapter presented a shining resume. Dunkin’ Donuts, Target, Red Horse Beer, Clover Chips. Runway for Rajo Laurel and Michael Cinco. Miss Thailand World in 2007. A top-five finish in Switzerland’s first Top Model. Thai-Swiss, booked, visible, and still waiting to be chosen.

Then, like most young women, she got married and started to raise four children. The industry did not pause with her. She was gone close to a decade — long enough that a return could have looked like nostalgia. September 2026 did not look like that. She was back at New York Fashion Week as a social media content creator, moving through Frederick Anderson, Verdavainne, and the launch of Anya Marcon’s Model Life, filming the week as she lived it.

The old job was to be in the picture. The new one is to decide what the picture is for. Across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube she has built an audience of about 50,000. It is not a celebrity number. It is a door she did not have when a brand hired her only to stand in frame. She can publish the fitting, the street, the after. Beauty, fragrance, and travel sit next to the shows. She also co-hosts The Bastos Podcast, a monthly conversation with Filipino creators, alongside Brims Brigante and That Asian Filo Nas.

“What I built ten years ago is still empowering me today” she says. “I came back with a fuller life and a clearer purpose. This time I know what I am after.”

She does not narrate the ten years as a hole in a résumé. Four children are not a footnote she has to apologize for before a casting director will look at her again. They are why the second chapter has a different temperature. Fashion Week is no longer the only clock in the house. She is choosier about rooms. She still knows the rooms run on who introduces you, and she has started spending time with younger creators who have the audience and not yet the map.

Social media opened a lane. It did not retire the hallway. Sway is using both: the face that once sold a commercial, and the feed she now owns. The comeback is not a replay of 2007. It is a stunning model who left at her prime, and came back able to pull newer faces through her empowerment.
